The AM record cleaner is where it all started: the first product we ever made, back in 1971, and still the one we're known for. A non-abrasive solution that lifts dust, dirt and greasy fingerprints without leaving any residue, safe for everyday use on everything from a fresh pressing to the dustiest second-hand find.

Contains: 200ml AM record cleaner and a lint-free cotton cloth made for vinyl.

Spray the cleaner onto the cloth, or lightly onto the record itself, taking care to avoid the label.

Wipe gently, following the grooves in the same circular direction they run, working inwards towards the centre. Let the solution lift the dust and grime rather than scrubbing at it.

Finish with a dry part of the cloth if the record was particularly dirty.

You're left with cleaner grooves, less crackle and reduced wear on both record and stylus.

The AM record cleaner is the product AM was built on. We first made it in 1971, and it has done the same job ever since: a non-abrasive solution that cleans deep into the groove without scratching, smearing or leaving residue behind.

Dust and grime aren't only cosmetic. They sit in the grooves as crackle and surface noise, and the grit among them wears slowly at both record and stylus every time you play. The cleaner lifts all of it, so the needle reads the record rather than the dirt sitting on top of it. Less friction on playback also means less wear, so a clean record both lasts longer and plays better.

Gentle enough for regular upkeep, effective enough for the dirtiest charity-shop pressing. Applied to the cloth, it absorbs oil and grime without leaving anything behind.
